This piece illustrates the evolution of calligraphic art in the Philippines - from the earliest Penablanca and Angono petroglyphs, the Calatagan jar of Batangas and the Manunggul jar of Palawan, the Laguna copperplate and early baybayin scripts of Luzon, towards the ever evolving text messages of the modern 21st century. It represents not only the development of handwriting but at the same time the functional treatment of each artifacts recovered.
